The Popular Show Season Four Introduces the Soldiers Group

Ever since the premiere of the fourth campaign, recently appointed game master Brennan Lee Mulligan has kept fans guessing with rich lore, a wide array of personalities, and a thrilling plot showcasing celestial beings, demons, and sinister influences growing in influence within the urban setting.

Heads-up: Key plot points for Episode 3 of the new season lie ahead.

The Soldiers Table Introduced

Episode 3 ended with a major cliffhanger and introduced the premier party of heroes who will branch out from the main group to undertake their separate journey, separate from the other two tables.

This warrior group consists of the determined fighter (brought to life by the voice actor), Thimble (Laura Bailey), the fierce warrior (Whitney), Wicander (Sam Riegel), and Kattigan Vale (the actor).

Why Split the Party?

With a large ensemble, it was clear from the beginning that maintaining everyone at one table would be unworkable.

That’s why, the initial installments of the new season serve as an Overture, weaving together the characters’ stories before dividing into three smaller tables: Soldiers, Planners, and Seekers.

What Defines the Warrior Group

As described by the DM, the Soldiers table is for players who enjoy a traditionally charged battle-oriented narrative style where non-violent answers are few and far between.

Initially, characters like the reluctant priest Wicander might seem mismatched, but the actions of episode 3 make it clear why these specific adventurers are ideally matched for the combat party.

Motivations for Departure

To begin with, the party has a clear idea where to proceed after a brutal first encounter with the antagonists.

A former ally of the deceased character—whose death kicked off the story’s plot—used The Crow Keepers for his own means, breaking into the secret base, striking the rogue, and swiping all the magical artifacts to sell off.

Casimir then settled his debts and escaped to a secure base in the northern region, north of the urban center, with Teor’s brother hot on his heels.

Individual Reasons

Moreover, each adventurer has a individual motive to leave the city the metropolitan area:

  • The rogue, as the companion and best friend, seeks revenge.
  • The adventurer knows the region and advises that it is a dangerous location.
  • The strong character and The cleric, having disobeyed his house’s orders to kill the fighter and instead saved him, have nowhere else to go.
  • But, their reputation as key figures in the influential clan could help the group enter places they normally couldn’t.
  • Furthermore, The grateful character pledged a eternal obligation to Wicander for his deliverance and will now go with him wherever.

Pursued by Authorities

Finally, all of them are sought by the rulers that govern the city for a range of causes, making remaining behind dangerous:

  • The agile adventurer and Kattigan are known criminals.
  • The strong figure and The healer turned against the influential house and the army of fiends they are allied with.
  • The fighter is wanted dead by the family.

This results in them little choice but to journey toward the remote area in quest for the antagonist.

Future Episodes

According to the recent installment’s Cooldown, we learn that the combat party will not appear next week, leaving the remaining eight players to round up the Seekers and Planners groups.

Audiences can look forward to discovering which characters will be assigned to which table in Campaign 4’s concluding setup installment, streaming live on next week.
